Co-ordinate the checking of leaders Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications and identity documents. Minimum Age 18.
Recruit and lead team of DBS checkers.
Hold training/refresher sessions as necessary.
Ensure all checkers are provided with a copy of latest Lighthouse child protection policy plus latest DBS requirements and have signed a statement confirming they will work to these standards.
Agree with Lighthouse Central administration the deadline by when all forms must be checked.
Some home visits may need to be arranged.
Checked forms need to be delivered to Lighthouse Central and follow up is required over handling of incorrectly checked forms and late applicants.
