St Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church

40 Warwick Road, Beaconsfield HP9 2PL
www.littleflower.co.uk

Masses: 6 pm (Saturday), 8.45 am and 11.30 am (Sunday)

During the 8.45 am Mass on Sundays, children are invited to share in the enjoyment of the parish's thriving Children's Liturgy Group, celebrating the Liturgy of the Word in St Teresa’s Parish Centre. The group is run by parents and helpers of the parish.

The Liturgy of the Word is presented in a child-friendly way and each week an activity in the form of a craft or game is undertaken in order to help the children's understanding of that week's Gospel. Children are safely escorted to and from the Parish Centre, leaving parents free to enjoy Mass.  There are many activities for children organised during the year: for example, a Christmas Crib Service, Lenten activities and an Easter egg hunt in the presbytery garden. The group also ensures contact between parish children and children in the Leonard Cheshire Home in Mongu, Zambia, which is supported by the parish.

Young people of secondary school age from St Teresa’s and St Dunstan’s in Bourne End meet fortnightly with youth leaders on a Friday evening between 7pm and 9pm in St Teresa’s Parish Centre. The activities alternate each month between a reflective type discussion evening and a social activity – for example, bowling, ice-skating, and swimming.

For further details of both groups, please contact St Teresa’s Parish Office (01494 673018) or email parishcentre@littleflower.co.uk
